Cookie Information
Below you will find information about the use of cookies and similar storage technologies, such as pixels (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Cookies”) on the website www.garpa.de. The website is operated by Garpa Garten & Park Einrichtungen GmbH, located at Kiehnwiese 1, 21039 Escheburg near Hamburg, Germany (hereinafter “GARPA” or “we”).
Where personal data is processed, this Cookie Information supplements our Privacy Policy.
You may change your Cookie settings at any time. A detailed explanation of how to do so can be found under Section III.
This information is valid as of December 2025. From time to time, we may need to make adjustments due to factual developments or legal or regulatory requirements; therefore, please review the Cookie Information during your next visit to our website to stay up to date.

1. What are Cookies and what are they used for?
Cookies are technologies used to access or store information on end devices, such as computers or mobile devices. Cookies are generally set when you access our website and store certain settings and exchange specific information between your browser and our system to ensure that our website functions properly or operates efficiently.
On the one hand, we use Cookies that are necessary for the technical operation of our website. In addition, we also use Cookies that serve to analyze your interaction with our website and our offers or to provide personalized advertising on our website and/or on third-party websites and apps.
2. Types of Cookies
Further information on the Cookies we use can be found under Sections IV to VII.
Distinction by Cookie provider
There are Cookies that are set by us as the operator of the website and the controller responsible for the related data processing (so-called first-party Cookies). There are also Cookies that are set by third parties acting on our behalf or who are (jointly) responsible for data processing (so-called third-party Cookies).
Distinction by storage duration
Transient Cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. These include, in particular, session Cookies. These store a so-called session ID, which allows various requests from your browser to be assigned to the same session. This enables your device to be recognized when you return to our website. Session Cookies are deleted when you log out or close your browser.
We use transient Cookies to make our website more user-friendly. Some elements of our website require that the accessing browser can be identified even after a page change. The following data, for example, is stored and transmitted in the Cookies:
- Browser settings regarding Cookies (whether they are enabled or disabled)
- User language settings
- Log-in information
We also use persistent Cookies on our website, which enable an analysis of users’ browsing behavior. Persistent Cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period, which may vary depending on the Cookie. In this way, user click behavior on our websites can be recorded and evaluated (collected data includes, for example, browser data, click frequency, bounce rate, etc.).
Data collected via persistent Cookies is pseudonymized by technical measures, so that it is no longer possible to assign the data to the accessing user. The data is not stored together with other personal data of users.
Distinction by purpose
We categorize the Cookies we use according to their function and purpose into various categories:
- Necessary: Necessary Cookies enable basic functions and are essential for the proper functioning of the website.
- Preferences: Preference Cookies allow us to display the website based on your entries and information. For example, the website may be displayed in the appropriate language depending on the region you are in.
- Statistics: Statistical Cookies help us understand how visitors use our website. These Cookies are only set after you have given your explicit consent.
- Marketing: Marketing Cookies allow us to measure the success of our advertising campaigns and create custom target groups in order to place marketing activities more effectively on other websites and social networks.
- External media: Enable the display and sharing of external content and allow the providers of such media to analyze your user behavior.
Unless the Cookies are strictly necessary and therefore only set after your consent, you may withdraw your consent to the use of Cookies at any time with effect for the future. A detailed explanation of how to do so can be found under Section III.
Technical types of Cookies
We use Cookies and similar technologies, such as tracking tools or pixels. These are 1x1 pixel code snippets capable of identifying your browser type via the browser ID – the individual fingerprint of your browser. This allows the service provider to see when and how many users have accessed the pixel, or whether and when an email was opened or a website was visited.
In order to tailor our services to your needs and present you with personalized offers, we also use so-called Local Storage technology. With this technology, certain data is stored in your browser’s local cache. This data remains stored even after you close your browser and can be retrieved and read again when you revisit our pages.
Through Local Storage, we can save your preferences when using our websites. Data from Local Storage is used on our websites, for example, so that you do not have to reselect certain options after your initial input, so that your selected formats remain available on subsequent visits, or so that you are presented with a preselection of interesting items.
3. Withdrawal of consent and modification of your Cookie settings
Unless Cookies are strictly necessary, you may withdraw your consent to the use of Cookies at any time with effect for the future and individually adjust your Cookie settings.
You may withdraw the consent you have given for data collection via Cookies at any time. To do so, the following steps are required:
- Open the Cookie settings on our websites via the footer link “Cookie Settings” or via the “overlay function” at the bottom left of your browser
- In the window that opens, you have the option to withdraw your consent to data processing for individual categories of Cookies and comparable technologies (e.g., data storage in Local Storage).
In addition, you may delete Cookies at any time in your browser settings or adjust the relevant Cookie settings of the browser you are using. For further information on how to delete and/or manage Cookies via your browser settings, please visit the help pages of the respective browser. Data stored in Local Storage can also be removed by clearing the Local Storage of the browser you are using.
4. Necessary
Necessary Cookies enable basic functions and are required for the proper functioning of the website and our Cookie banner.
Without these Cookies, the website cannot be used as intended. The data processed by these Cookies is indispensable for the operation of our website. Strictly necessary Cookies do not require consent and cannot be deselected.
The legal basis for the use of strictly necessary Cookies on our website is Section 25 (2) No. 2 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (“TDDDG”). Where personal data is processed, the legal basis is Article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest, namely the technically flawless provision of our website and the services offered through it).
